Is your X4 interior cabin too quiet??

Hi have the N20 engine, very quiet on startup, very quiet even when I floor it, hardly any exhaust note. Very strange for a BMW, those with N20 what's your experience? I feel like I am in a Benz

Play some music and forget about engine noise. Engine noise is supposed to be sound pollution, not comforting.

N20 has ample power for acceleration and speed, and that's all that really matters.

So your cabin is equally quiet?

what would u expect for a v4? put some after market exhaust on it. hehehe

The 4 cylinder diesel has sound didn't expect petrol to be this quiet, bought without testing driving and car is a july production. Car is fast though and love the low end torque, 35i would be overkill for me.

Hmmm got the HiFI sound option which is the best stereo I have had in a BMW or any other car so full, rich and banging bass. I am no audiophile don't see how the Harman Kadon would be better, maybe I should enjoy that then. But quietness will take getting used to especially I can't tell start stop and have to look at the dash.

So confirmed N20 owners very quiet, how is the cabin noise level for the 30d, 20d and 35i owners?

yes that is true, the noise reduction has been very improved in the x4, compared to my x3 f25 prefacelift. I remember the first days I drove the x4, I thought "strange, the 35i engine is very quiet".
