328 is a pretty quick car. 335 is just a beast.

+1. It's not a slouch compared to it's competitors. Maybe you are expecting too much from a covertible?

Verts are about 400lbs heavier then the coupes.. Which does make a difference, but nothing to ridiculous. Did the car seem faster before or have you always felt this way? If you always felt like that might want to consider upgrading to the 335.

You have a 328 first off, the engine doesn't make any power or torque low in the rev range. Second you have a vert, meaning it's more weight to get moving. What did you expect when you bought it?

Cool

Also you might be driving in D mode. I upgraded my vehicle from a 16 Valve, 4 Cylinder Nissan Sentra circa 2001 to a 2008 328i in November. Man I can feel the 328i kick in DS mode.

In DS mode you're getting more RPMs, and more power per gear before the transmission will shift for you. You also get to control when the gear shifts manually. It uses more gas obviously (more fuel being combusted), but it makes the 328i a lot more fun to drive. It feels kind of like being a Le Mans driver but without having the skills or the super endorsement deals.

+1 though on the Vert being heavier, I think it's the heaviest E9x there is.

Maybe you've been babying your car too much and she's learned your habits. After 9000 miles, my shifts are aggressive even in D mode!

Compared to what? To a 335? To a dodge neon?

Yeah I was referring to an automatic, adds another 150-175lb if I'm not mistaken.
