Compass on mirror not working....help

Hey guys, the compass in my mirror has disappeared. It will sporadically re appear when I use the garage door opener but then go away again. Any one had this issue ?

You may have a contact issue in the rear view mirror, since the compass activation button is in the lower portion of the mirror (pin size hole on the right).
Would make sense since you use the universal remote and see it reappear from time to time.

Thanks! Does the pinhole button turn it on/off or calibrate it?

Had a similar issue with my compass as it would only appear when I first turn on the ignition, then disappear. Looked at you post and voilà now it says on. Thanks! I found that there are other options if you hold that button for various longer duration.
