Procede Rev3 Issues

Hey guys I'm having this weird issue with my Procede Rev3. I have a 07 E92 Coupe 33k miles. When I install the firmware that comes with the 7-29 maps which I really want to use instead of the aggressive maps because of the autotune function. My car is an auto so I install the 7-29 6AT Map, I follow all the instructions in the read me file.

I start car drive around until its up to temp now when I go WOT my car violently jerks me foward and the engine malfunction light comes on as well as the brake system light scared the crap out of me it's like I ran into a wall lunges me forward to my steering wheel. Anyone know what could be the issue? Here's the weird part when I install the agressive 9-10 maps and the firmware my car doesnt do this at all and it runs and boosts perfectly fine.

I'm at work right now so anyone care to chime to in and help? Thanks!! I've tried reinstalling firmware and maps still same issue. My box says Rev 3 so I know i'm not installing wrong maps should I try installing the other 7-29 maps for the 2 or 2b revisions?

I had the same issue, check my threads to see what people said. Never solved it, removed the procede.

I did plugs, vanos solenoids, no change. No one could diagnose it, even with logs I provided.

Good luck.

Auto tune maps are over-rated. The 7-29 maps had problems for people, especially 2007 vehicles.

Just run the aggressive maps and run the appropriate map for your mods there is nothing unsafe about the non auto-tune maps. It's all marketing hype.

Thanks Jeff I went with the stage 1 9-10 aggressive maps car is running great did some pulls last night did not get any codes. Would you mine looking at my logs to see if I can further tweak my tune? I'm very new to this so I'm running on default settings but would like to get her running at her best. Thanks again fellas!

Also what's a good way to get good logs? Start from 3rd to 4th gear etc?

I should add my issue was just worse with the 9-10 maps, the engine would just shut down at redline instead of jerking like the 7-29.

There is really nothing to tweak. You just need to make sure you are not running a map too aggressive for your mods and octane available. If you are then you need to go down to a lesser aggressive map.

The only time people get into tweaking procede maps is when they are running custom boost tables and making other adjustments in boost for methanol. Typical stock or bolt ons cars can just run the default maps for their mods/octane.

You are welcome to post a datalog here using the datazap.me datalogging.

3rd gear WOT from 2500 RPM to Red Line, if you can get into 4th safely that would be great.

Ok I was able to log 2 runs I had to stop because I would get mis fires on cylinder 4 every time I would go WOT. I'm going to get some plugs since I don't know when they have been changed I've only owned this car since August of this year. Thanks!!

My first run http://datazap.me/u/riczonh/07-e92?log=0&data=1-5
2nd run http://datazap.me/u/riczonh/07-e92?log=1&data=1-5

Garage List
Had this issue on a customer's car, checked the logs and his car was running pig rich until it had a huge mis-fire. At first I though it was a Map/HW compatibility problem but we couldn't get anything from Vishnu to correct the problem. Solved it by removing the Procede.

No autotune maps ftw

Go "Aggressive", datalog, upload to datazap.me, and then the link here and lets all go from there.

Okay Finally got my new plugs put in today, I also pulled out the procede and reinstalled from scratch. Took her out after and no more misfires! I am happy now, car is pulling really good to redline no codes were thrown.

You can actually turn on auto tune on the aggressive maps as well but you have to know how to monitor and reset it. Do you have the codes with titles of codes you threw?

Looks like as soon as you get on it you are probably having those misfires and your car shuts down the cylinders to protect the engine so it feels like crap. Check coils first. If the same cylinder misfires, swap the coil with another cylinder and if misfire transfers you know it's the coil. You can get replacement at autozone with lifetime warranty. There is a big thread (maybe sticky) in this sub forum on how to track down and fix misfires progressively and diagnose them. You should check it out. Higher boost and power brings out weaknesses in old or failing components in the ignition system. Happened to me and many many others. Once you fix, it's all good.

Yes my DME threw code: 10706 Misfire cylinder 6.

Swapped all plugs and all is good I think I was still running in the original ones since my car is only at 35k miles, check out the pic lol. No more codes, car is pulling harder than ever!
