bi-xenons?
on the later e46's, the highbeams were incorporated into the xenon bulb. so the low and high beams were projected by the bi-xenon bulb.
is this feature still available for the e9x's? i dont see the term bi-xenon anywhere on bmwusa. does this mean that the inner halogen is responsible for high beams? fyi, i dont mean flashing the highbeams by pulling on the left stalk. i mean pushing the left stalk foward for a continuous beam. |

The e9x has the bi-xenon just like the later e46.

thanks for the quick responses guys.
this is exactly what i thought but i wanted to confirm with you. i wonder why bmw stopped advertising it as bi-xenons since it seems like a worthwhile feature. my guess is that its probably too wordy as it is... with adaptive, auto leveling, corona, corner, etc... i really hated how my '01 330i with high and low beams on would show those uneven light impressions on the road from the halogens. i prefer the smooth and even light dispersal from the xenons. thanks again! |
