Can you adjust headlights on your BMW ?
Guys
I have the New X3 and New X4 both with LED headlights. It seems to me that the X3 light aiming is a little bit more to my liking and I am wondering if I myself can adjust the headlight aim on the X4 ? I don't want to screw up the auto moving headlight system. I simply want to move the left light slightly left and up when its in the neutral driving position. Is this done in software or in the headlamp ? Thx C |

I presume that you are not supposed to be able to aim the headlights wherever you want them. Local regulations would surely specify a zone in which they should be aimed, to prevent dazzling oncoming traffic? There is adjustment to aim them further downwards for when you have a heavy load in the luggage compartment, but you shouldn't be able to aim them further upwards.
The adaptive headlights turn while you are cornering, rather than giving you free adjustment. |
