Angry MY BRAND NEW 335i HAS BEEN VANDALIZED AND KEYED SEVERELY ON NEW YEARS MORNING HELP !

So I just picked up my new 335i Coupe about 3 weeks ago. So this morning after long New Years partying I noticed my new car has been vandalized and keyed. Some idiot smashed all my headlights, fogs, tails out, sunroof bumpers has holes in them too. My interior is a mess from the glass and snow inside. My front seats are ripped, and dash console go some rippin and cuts too. Not only that they keyed the hood of my car, doors, fenders, bumpers, the top of my car. They pretty much did a 360 degree around my entire car. Its keyed it really deep. Im really pissed off why would someone do this ? People dont have anything better to do but to mess with someone elses property. Im really upset, what they did to my new car, I wish I could find out who did this. Anyways it looks like my entire car will need to be repainted, plus I need new headlights, fogs, bumpers, tails, and a new sunroof, probaly new fenders, Im not for sure. But what is the standard procedure ? Will the whole car need to be totally repainted ? Will it look like factory when I picked up my new car ? My car is like a Atlantic Blue metalic color. Im really concerned about how will they repair my car. I want it back to new factory looking again. Would this be possible ? Or is it just going to be damaged goods ? I wish this would have never happened. I will see my insurance adjuster tommorow.

I also taped the sunroof up so no more snow or rain wont get in the interior to cause futher complications. I hope no one decide to break in it tonight.

Wow bro i'm sorry to hear that. You know my car got vandalized a while back to. I told the inusrance and they got it all taken care off. I got it repainted and fixed. It wasn't anything broken just keyed. But yeah they most likely will repaint. I'm not sure if it will look exactly like new but they can get it pretty close to the human eye.

Sorry to hear this happen to you, and you should rent out a parking lot or garage or something. I'm from NJ, but Harlem NYC i don't know how bad that is specially driving around a a 330i AND a 335i. Good Luck and sorry to hear that

Exclamation Find a BMW Certified Shop

I am really really sorry to hear of this senseless vandalism.

I would recommend you find a BMW Certified body shop and take it there.

I would further recommend that you do NOT deal with the adjuster but allow the body shop to do that.

You can get names of BMW Certified collision shops from your dealer or your dealer may have its own (I know Habberstad is certified in the NY area but there are probably others as well).

You can read about the certified program here.

Wow! That is sooo Fcuk'd Up! So sorry to hear that man! There's actually been alot of post on here lately about vandalisms. . . So unfortunate. People are so stupid. That is going to cost sooo much to fix it almost would have been better off if they just broke all your windows and slashed your tires. . . Insurance might have just totalled the car. . . Would have been a faster process for you. Goodluck though. Let us know what happens.

The damage is huge. They did a 360 around the whole car top to bottom. It looks like they used some heavy duty philip screwdrivers which got it stripped completley down to the metal

Windows are not smashed, but they are keyed too. They circled around the car like 5 times, bc you can see the lines and the metal. They hammered out all my lights, and theres holes in the bumpers too. Its a mess.

Demand full repaints on every panel scratched and if the leather is scratched or the dash demand replacements for those components. No reason a 3 week old car shouldn't be replaced with new components. Make sure you get new windows as well.

Jesus. It sounds like they hate either you, the car, or were so drunk from New Years that they thought it would be cool to do that shit. Sorry you're going through this. No matter what happens, you'll always look at the car as remember what happened. What a bunch of dickheads.

damn bro just where the hell did you park your car? sorrie to hear it, I don't know what I would do if mine was as bad as yours. I've had 2 hit and runs on my car plus the hood of my car was scratched the 1st week I had it in manhattan in an open parking lot.
The 1st hit and run was in a parking lot I came back but didn't see it until the next morning so I had no clout to go back and say they did it. And the 2nd one at my eye doctor's office parking lot someone hit the rear quarter panel and left.

It seems these cars are a magnet for this kind of senseless acts!! not only is it frustrating enough that someone vandalizes your damn car, you have to pay for the damn vandalism too!

sucks man..

Sounds like you'll have to get the whole car repainted.. Might want to consider a good painter and have him do a custom paint job on it. if you want to be different. It'll probalby have less orange peel than the factory paint.

Well I heard that the BMW sub-contractors do a terrible job here in NYC. I need a top of the line shop that can make this car brand spanking new.

Can a Body Shop strip the factory paint off the car entirely down to the metal, then repaint it like they do at the factory ? Will my car paint thickness be higher then the original paint, when they repaint the car as it is ? Its metallic paint, so I want it to look brand new as I got my car on delivery. Any good shops in NYC ? I would rather them strip the paint off the entire car completley then repaint it.
