If it uses the adapter harness like JB4, then check that you put the connectors back correctly into the right slots. Then check that those connectors are seated onto the DME correctly with the slide locks. If its not mated, it won't start in either scenario with or without procede.

Also make sure you didn't bend any pins.

Also check all of your fuses, maybe you blew one somehow.

Orange wire power pin in the green plug - if it is not installed straight, it can bend and miss the other end. Also make sure that it's not in the wrong slot.

Did you check your car for codes? My guess is a blown fuse. Not sure what year your car is, but it's either a 15 or 20 amp fuse under the hood or behind the glove compartment.

My thinking would be since the ECU never went to sleep if you didn't let the car sit, maybe you shorted a hot wire and it blew a fuse for the fuel pump or something. That's common on many cars.

It looks like your orange power wire is not seated in the green socket all the way. Try removing it and reinstalling that wire. I had this issue when removing mine a few weeks ago.

I had the same problem when I was installing my JB4. Turned out I did not put one of the four big plugs coming out of the DME back in the correct slot. If you are having a hard time sliding the retainers in to lock the plugs into the DME then you might have put one of the plugs in wrong. The retainer will lock and all the plugs will looked like they are seated correctly but the car won't start. Once I figured out my momentary lapse of reason and switched the plugs around, my car fired right up. Talk about a great sigh of relief...
