Powder Coated vs. Painted
I'm quite new to all of this stuff... are powder coated wheel finishes more durable than painted wheel finishes? Thinking about winter.
Thanks. |

Yes... powder coated wheels are generally more durable.

Also, I'd suggest making sure you go to a PC shop that's well-versed in working with wheels. It doesn't happen often, but I've seen nightmare-ish incidences where the powder coater didn't use appropriate times/temperatures resulting in compromised structural integrity

I was told today that if the wheel is powder coated in a gloss it is generally more durable; but if it is coated in matte or texture, it is basically the same as a painted wheel.
Any truth there? |
