Will these fit? (08 335 wheels)

Good deal on a set of winter tires with 08 335i 17" wheels and I just want to make sure before making an offer.

Will these fit with or without spacers? I have 12mm spacers I use now with the OEM wheels if necessary.

I believe they are either +30 or +35 ET.

TIA.

I believe they are 7". Possibly 7.5 since it was a 335i.

If OEM then likely to be 8" wide with 34mm offset all round or 8" / 34mm at the front and 8.5" wide and 39mm offset at the rear. Either way, E9x offsets are more aggressive than F2x series so unlikely you'll need spacers.

They barely fit if its the same style I bought. The front caliper clears with only a few mm of space. I bought 12mm and 15mm spacers for front and back that I might installed when I swap to winter wheels.

http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/bmw...w_159_wheel_28

This is the style I bought used. I'm worried that they will poke too much.

Thank you, very informative. Here are the exact model: http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/bmw...185_wheel_1046

So it looks like they are 17x8 with a 34mm offset.

Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 4.7mm further away from the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 17.4mm more than before.

So it will be like having 17.4mm spacers on the front which should be OK as long as they clear the brakes, correct?

Close, but these are the 7 spoke: http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/bmw...185_wheel_1046

So you've confirmed they do fit the front brakes? That's great. If they already fit and will be poking out 17.4mm anyway, why would you want to add another spacer? I have 12mm spacers on the car right now so if I were to add those, the winter setup would be sticking out an extra 29.4mm which is just way too much, no?

I bought them as an insurance policy if I think its too tight. I probably won't run them once I mount and test drive without. I was mostly concerned about the less than 5mm of clearance. For winter I don't care much about appearance, 3cm isn't all that much.

Ok Update: In short, they don't fit without spacers.

I managed to scratch the caliper finding out as well. Not bad but noticeable to me. Anywhere I can get touchup paint for them?

Thankfully, I had my 12mm spacers on and was able to get them to fit with those. 8mm or 10mm would probably be perfect as this setup (E9X) is now +34mm (wheel) +12mm (spacer) which ends up being +29.4mm over stock.

Everything fits and clears with the spacers and most people would actually like the more aggressive look but I will probably pick up a set of 10mm spacers in the future just to pull them in a bit more.

Wheels were a bit more scuffed up than I would have hoped for so I might paint them black like all my previous snow rims.

I have the same wheels that I've been using on my outgoing 335. I don't have my M235i yet. Have you run them on yours? You think spacers are advisable?

Mine fit fine without spacers. Control the offset on your wheels must be different from mine. Mine are 17 x 8 ET +34 with 225 winter tires. I bought the spacers but never installed them, it would look like a dune buggy with the tires sticking out 2cm from the fender.

The clearance issue isn't with the front of the caliper, it is how close the top of the caliper comes close to the beveled barrel of the wheel. Mine fits with 5mm at the front and tons of room at the rear.

It looks like the taper of the hub on Control's wheel is the difference between ours. Mine has a more pronounced inward taper that is probably the difference. Timmy if you have the exact wheels as mine you should be good.

Control, does your TC light come on at highways speeds when you punch it in 6th? I don't know if the softness of the winter tires makes the sensor think its slipping. I'm also running without TPM sensors, I hope the TC issue is actually traction related and not a problem with the absence of pressure monitors.

Those are my exact wheels so it looks like I way be in luck. Thanks a ton for sharing your experience.

Very good news for me. I currently have a Winter Package Style 159 for my 335. I will be able to use them on my 2015 M235 x-Drive currently somewhere on the Atlantic. Should get the car early December. Curious to know if the TC light still comes on ???

I also have a Summer Package Style 258. Wonder if they will fit ??? Thanks

Blue, they should work for you as well. You will probably get the TC light, unless my early production car (Dec 2013) has a different TPM system than your 2015. Some folks think it only measures axle deflection, but I can't get mine to reset since the wheel swap.

Gah, why is everyone's wheels fitting but mine?!

Trust me, I could not get them to fit without the spacers, I have a nice scratch on my blue calipers to prove it.

They would not even fit over the brakes on the rear either without spacers so I don't know how you guys managed this.

They are the OEM wheels taken straight from a 2008 335i. Maybe there is a different version which allow more space for the brakes?

For those who were asking: my TC light seems to come on as usual and in Canada we don't have TPMS so there's was no issue with that.

Just noticed my wheels are 7 spoke while yours are 9 so they are different wheels all together.
