I would stay with 35%, it's good enough all around. Not to dark, not too light, and you wont' be prone to being pulled over for your tint. I don't have a pic of a black one, but that's how 35% looked on my car all around. It's your choice though.

I have 35% and love it. My fiance has 20% and we are getting it re-done because its too dark.
Heres my car http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=101153 Edit: At night it looks great and dark but still easy to see during the day. Trust me you'll love it! |

I say go too dark and don't draw attention to yourself on the road. So, so many bmw, and mercedes, and etc have very dark tint in socal. You shouldn't get singled out unless you're asking for it.
The place that did my tint said they'd take it off at no charge if I got a ticket. Putting it back on, or going lighter, I'd have to pay for. I have to admint, the 15% on my car is basically opaque when there is little light. A dark parking structure or street for example. PDC ftw. ________ CALIFORNIA DISPENSARIES Last edited by satakal; 08-16-2011 at 05:12 PM.. |

That seems cheap. I paid $230 for 3M.

Can any of you guys tell me where you got your F1 tints in SoCal? The lowest price I've gotten quoted was $300...where did you guys get your F1 tints for $180 and $230?

i'd personally go with 20%, 35% is kind of light for my tastes, i dont really like people being able to see in my car, and i like it nice and dark inside. As far as MO i go to school there at WashU, and i think i've been to that shop you posted a link for, do they by chance have a Viper in the showroom?
As for MO, i dont really pay attention that much to tints but it seems like not too many ppl are tinting out there so I would check the laws closely (like if they give you a ticket or a fix-it ticket) And also what else have you done to the car? like are you going for an all black theme or something? that may play a role in what tint you choose good luck |

I thought 5% was going to look tacky on my car but it looks amazing.
The chrome trim around the doors keeps it looking nice. My car being silver too helps. I love the ultimate privacy, I can just lounge back and roll slowly. MOBBIN! |
