Rear Tire Size?

My m235i came with 225's on the rear with what looks like the same size wheel as the front. Aren't they supposed to come with 245's and a wider rim?

If you got runflats and all-seasons, you get 18x7.5 wheels all around and 225/40/18 wheels.

If you got summer tires (Michelin PSS), you get 18x7.5 in the front with 225/40/18 and 18x8 in the rear with 245/35/18.

Thanks for the reply, is that on the build out on their website? I didn't see anywhere to select it.

I selected the 18" wheel option, as if to imply that not selecting that option would give me smaller wheels..

And that's where the problem is...

18" double-spoke 436M wheels w/ all-season tires

Selecting this option gives you square setup as you ended up with.

By doing that, you overrode the standard equipment feature, which was:

"Double Spoke Ferric Gray light alloy wheels (Style 436M), 18 x 7.5 front, 18 x 8.0 rear; and 225/40 front, 245/35 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport performance tires1, 2, 3 (includes increased top-speed limiter)"

So, the proper choice you intended to make was to not select anything and you would have gotten the standard equipment. Don't be too hard on yourself as quite a bit of folks made this mistake as it is a little confusing.

And as much as the Staggered Michelin PSS are lots of fun, with no spare tire Runflats can give you PIECE OF MIND and the latest RUNFLATS are well sorted and if you live where you get ice or shallow snow - All Season tires are convenient and cost efficient.

Thanks for the info guys, I have less than 400 miles on the car, I'm going to demand they give me the setup I actually wanted. I'll keep everyone apprised of the results.
