Performance Edition option in the US?

Hello Everyone,

New forum member but have used it as a resource for awhile now.
Traded our 135i with mSport options in for a m235i xDrive with the Performance Edition option. I was wondering are US buyers being offered this option?

Truthfully it is all cosmetic and there are no performance gains.

I liked the package because it came with 19" wheels, though I am upset it does not use the Michelin Super Sports and instead comes with PZeros.
I have used the Super Sports on two different cars and I love them, as for the PZeros they came on two different cars I have had from the factory and they wore out pretty quick, sucked in the wet and were noise as they aged.

Looking forward to the MP exhaust and the different MP body parts look kinda cool to.

Wasn't offered to me when I purchased my M235 back in Feb (BMW Elite of Ottawa). How much did it cost?

It's a limited edition BMW Canada package that wasn't available until July 1.

It was 14k on top of base price. It basically includes all available options plus front splitter, rear diffuser, side skirts, exhaust and 19" wheels. Works out to be 4k+ difference from a standard loaded m235i xDrive.

Mine is Melbourne Red and it looks different then the photos the dealer had when we ordered it but still looks good.

Build date was July and we ordered in June.
Walked into the dealer planning to price out and maybe order a 435i xDrive and left with a deposit on the m235 xDrive....lol

Congratulations! There are at least two more mPerf edition owners here, so we can account for at least that many of the 50 in Canada. I take it you got yours in red? Should post some pics of the combo if you get a chance, mine are here: http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1035320

I'm not sure about the US but when doing research on it, it seemed at least some other regions go it (found a similar sales bulletin for South Africa).

On the PSS vs. P0s, I didn't stress too much over it, read that there have been recent improvements to it and can always switch them out to something if they truly prove horrendous in use. So far no complaints.

I will post some pics in the next few days.

Which rims did yours come with? I have heard they are being delivered with two different types. My car arrived at the dealer with stock wheels and they were switched during PDI

Same story here and with another forum member who has an mperf edition - the 624M wheels were shipped separately and then had to be put on during PDI.

Well after the first 500+ Km I am super happy and absolutely love this car!!!! It sounds awesome with the MP exhaust and handles amazing compared to our S5 and 135I. The steering is not as nicely weighted as the 135i but just as precise.

Welcome to the family!! Damn that red color looks good. Is the windows tinted? I am the other M performance owner he was talking about, still in break in period. How are you guys handling winter set up? I'm going to run 17' with 10mm spacer front, and removed front splitter (don't want to shove ice/snow with it).

Ya we are really happy with the red accented by the black trim. The windows are a 35% tint done at the dealership before pick-up, it was no charge part of a promotion when we ordered the car.

Funny you mentioned removing the front splitter because I was thinking the exact same thing. We have a weekend home 3 hours north of Toronto and the roads are not the best in the winter, so it is highly likely the splitter would be damaged.

I have 17" rims from our old 135i that I am test fitting this weekend, hopefully they work.

What dealer is yours from?

Maranello BMW, sadly I did not get any discount because I was in a rush to order this car after seeing the bulletin, since it was near the end of the order dates. My dealer did not even know about this deal till I showed it to them.

Seems only certain rim styles can fit the brake calipers. But as long as you have enough clearance you should be fine. Let me know what you find out. I'm pretty sure haloeight will be curious as well.
