Black Sapphire Grills/Gills Question

Want to pull the trigger on gills and grill surrounds, but find myself wondering if I should color match them or go gloss black in contrast? Anyone with BS have any opinions, experience, photos, etc?

I know, different color car. Mines MG. I got both the color match and gloss black. Tried them both and the color match look's so much better. Also went with the three strip grill insert. With the gloss black, it did not look very good. But with the color match it looks fantastic.

The guys at iND told me honestly they are so similar you wouldn't be able to tell the difference, yes one has specs of aluminum and one doesn't but they are small pieces. Here is mine in gloss black on my BSM M3

I vote for gloss black for front grill.
But I recommend leaving side gill chrome on black car.
I had black gill on my M3, but took it out to put chrome one back.

If you look at the car from some distance with black gill, it makes your car look like regular 3 series from the side since it kills that signature gill line that exists only on M cars.
Having that chrome gill that pops out makes some significant difference when looking the car from the side at moderate to far distance.

Get color matched reflectors instead of side gills. They are about same price.

Just did gloss surrounds and side grills. Don't wast your money on BSM grills. You can't tell. Reflectors are a must. They are the worst!

I had BSM, Black gloss and Carbon Fiber all at the same time.

Yes you can tell the difference.

I kept the BSM.

I would have kept the CF except they were 1x1 weave and did not match the M Performance CF Mirror caps.

BSM clearly won of the BSM and Gloss Black by everyone who looked at it.
