ACM | Austin Yellow M3 Shop Car

We wanted to welcome home the new Austin Yellow on Black 6MT F80 M3 shop car. The previous E92 shop cars are sold and gone so it's time to get on board with the new chassis. We'll update this thread with updates that go on the car. Thanks for checking in!

I don't like ay, but that's a great shot in the 3rd pic of the m3!

How are you enjoying the car in 6mt form? I'm dying to get mine

You know what's funny? Never really expected to purchase a yellow car, but the more I saw AY in person the more I really liked it. After seeing it on the sedan it was a no brainer especially with the similar color calipers of the ceramic brake package.

The transmission is pretty good. It feels a little less mechanical compared to my E92 with RE SSK, but very nice regardless. As I've told many, the car feels like a 4-door 1M which was my favorite car I've owned to date.

Ok you just made my day.

I had a 1m and LOVED that son of a bitch. If this is a quasi 4dr 1m I will be ecstatic

Any comparisons to the handling and power delivery differences between the two?

Interesting. Didn't realize the 1M was your favorite car.

I still think I want to keep my E92 (for good). Then I'd be able to add an M2 which I hope is going to embody what the 1M stood for.

Second option would be F80 (actually in AY as well, with 6MT).

I'd love to hear your opinion on all these cars Sal, and what you'd personally do. Especially considering you've had all of them, I'd like to hear your feedback.

Prepare to be ecstatic then, my friend

It's a 1M with 4 doors and almost 100 more hp Power delivery is almost spot on, handling is very very good for a car of it's size, but I'd say it's on par with the smaller 1M.

1M was absolutely fantastic to drive. Everything was great about it (except the goofy headlights lol). I would have loved to keep the E92 as well, but at this point I just couldn't justify it especially with my wedding coming up in a few months. From everything I've been reading on the M2, it sounds like it will be a hoot, but on that note, the M3 is also. Really a tough call!!

I decided that I'm just not going to think about it too much. I've been flip flopping between the 2 options all week now and it's driving me insane haha. I'd rather just wait and see what the M2 really brings to the table before deciding. By then, F80 LCI will be out.

On top of that, the E92 is so close to paid off, and it's already modded exactly the way I wanted. It would almost seem crazy to sell it off now (not to mention I'm only the second owner).

Congrats on the new car though, looks amazing

Do you guy's know what pic best represents AY out of these four in real life?
?
I am in love with the bright gold color of the rear quarter shot! Or is it the more like the faded gold in the last pic?

Planning on an Austin F80 with the 18's.
