RadioShack USB/Serial test

I am waiting on V2 to show up this coming week....In the meantime, is there a way to test the Radioshack USB/Serial cable to see if it is going to work? I'd hate to get V2 and the cable be my limitation in not being able to run it...

First you should try to install it to your laptop. If the disk to install the drivers are loaded without it saying that its not compatible with the windows LOGO, then it may work...You should load the radio shack disk and see if u can install the drivers without it asking you if you want to procede press continue because its not compatible with the Windows logo...If you don't get this prompt then i guess you are the lucky one!!

it should of came with the usb...it was inside the sleeve of the package, if you didn't open up between the thin cardboard then u have to find the drivers online...There is a thread i started asking for help...Do a search and on the thread there is a link to one of the websites to download the drivers...I hope that helps, but i think the usb to serial from Radio shack really sucks as far as compatibility

That's really kind of weird....I definately didn't get a disc. It wasn't really a problem though, it's shown on my "ports" section under "'my computer", and I verified via the vishnu instructions. Everything seemed to download just fine....even though I'm still having a few problems. When my usb is hooked up to the procede, and powered up, I'm seeing -14.7 psi under the boost section on the vishnu user software. This tells me something is still wrong (remember my other thread), since it's supposed to read "0". It could read -1 or -2, since I'm at 1000' elevation, but not -14.7

The disk was behind the cover.
Kind of a lame, but hidden place for it.

I didn't need it though, just plugged in the cable and all was working.

No issues here with the Radio Shack cable.
