Dirt on rear bumper

Anyone noticing on the m4, due to the performance trunk lid, the amount of dirt build up on the top of the rear bumper (where the trunk meets the bumper)? I am guessing because the diffusing is shooting the air upwards, and the trunk lid sticks out for aero, it's redirecting literal "dirt" air back down on the bumper.

Love YMB with a serious passion, but it's very hard to keep spotless. Good thing I'm crazy about it.

Yeah, by no means am I trying to be "negative", I love the lid. this is just something that would impossible to think about when they were making it. But it does in fact get super dirty in that one spot. I actually find it pretty cool to see evidence the diffuser is working

maybe a new diffuser will solve it or slight mod to it? Be glad it's not white i guess.

I'm kind of nostalgic about the dirt on top of the rear bumper. My 97 E36 ///M3 collected dirt in the very same place. I plan on packing some thick microfiber "dry wash" towels and Meguires Final Inspection to touch it up between washes. And I have the Alpine White.

Yes I notice the dirt forming on the rear bumper. After the wheels, it's the first part of the car that starts to get dirty. I'm careful to rinse it well before I start washing my car, and also wash the tail last so I don't drag dirt all over the car.

Good idea. Thick wooly wash mitts are your friend. I'm just down the road from Autogeek.net which is a good and a bad thing.

What are you guys using to clean the wheels, if you have the 19" black options?

I can't get them spotless, no matter what I'm using!!!

I'm using P21S Wheel Cleaner if they are dirty enough (not yet), but the real key is Wheel Woolies. You can really get inside the wheels without worrying about scratching anything.

I use Sonax and an old wheel brush from Griots.

It was just as bad with e92/90. It's not the trunk lid why. It's a BMW thing!

The real solution to the dirty wheel issue is dust-less (less dusty than stock) brake pads, but I have yet to see any on the market.

I had the whole wheel opti-coated. Dirt and brake-dust wipe right off with just a regular wash mitt.
