Introduction to the Track Driver School

I was thinking about signing up for this:

Its being offered next on Oct. 12-13, in Millville NJ.
Seems like it would perfect for someone who has never driven on a track but wants to learn.

I just wanted to see anyone had any feedback on this event and what I should expect. Thanks.

That's not bad $$ for a track event depending on exactly how much run time you get.

$160 for a First Timer is CHEAP. $50 rebate available too!!

I have done a few events with this club (just got back from their event at Summit Point - Shenandoah yesterday) and they are a safety focused group and emphasize education. They take their tech inspection seriously. They did talk up this event in that they have a run group just for first timers in addition to the regular novice, intermediate and advanced groups. Sounds like a reasonable way to try it out if you're interested. I haven't heard if any other club doing something like it.

was this for 2014? I see it is available for 2015 as well.

I have an f80 on order and would like to get my feet wet with some track dats.

They do it every year.

Except this year, because of O'Fest they aren't running that school. There should be a beginner session (according to the NJ Chapter) at O'Fest though.

Our Introduction to the Track event will not he held in 2015. However, if you were planning to attend this event, do not despair because the special run group for “first-timers” will be offered as part of O’Fest.

Hmm I might have to check this out.. I want to get to a track day this year; never been before and Millville isn't far from me.
