Mixed performance tires?

Hey all,

I've been in contact with my dealer about an ED, and he's sent the final purchase order paperwork for me to sign.

Aside from a moonroof showing up on the list, which I most definitely do not want, it also shows the 19" black wheels listed with "mixed performance" tires.

I was confused because I thought the 2015 M3 came with the Pilot super sports when I had originally configured the car. What's the nature of these mixed performance tires? Do they meet M+S all season requirements?

I believe that is how it is listed elsewhere as well. they just don't write out PSS specifically.

Mixed means different sizes.... Staggered tires.
Performance means summer tires

This. Rear tires are wider...

Mixed in this case means, the tread patterns on the front tires vs the rear are different. BMW has custom selected the front pattern for corner grip while the rear is optimized for acceleration.

The different sizes is normally referred to as "staggered"
