Removing m3 badge from front grill?
Does anyone know if this is a simple procedure. I know the back plate will still be there, but can M3 badge be removed from it. Thanks

Not sure about the M3, but on my M5 I had to order a new grill without the badge. There wasn't a way to remove it.

I stand to correction but there was a previous poster (maybe search for it) where the emblem/badge was attached via double sided tape.

The 'M' and '3' will come off but black mounting plate will remain. So either order inner grill from 4 series or do some delicate cutting. Easier to order grills. Check with IND. Good luck

No issue with it one way or another, but why is badge removal important to some people? I love the M4 badge and thinks it actually makes the car look better.

You (and many others) think the badges make the car look better, for others it's the opposite. different strokes for different folks. these types of things are as much personal preference as color choice.

I totally agree with that. Again, I like seeing new and different things out there. Just wondered what goes into the mentality of not wanting people to know what you have under the hood.

I don't think that the badge does much for telling people what kind of car it is. Anybody who knows that the model exists will be able to identify the car by it's body panels. Everybody else probably doesn't care anyway.

Honestly I am neither a badge whore nor hater. I like a clean look but a well done badge is also fine with me. I'll keep the rear badge but for me the front grill badge is kind of floating out there (Just one badge to many) and in every picture it kind of look like an automotive zit I just want to pop! It has to go

Apologies for OT rant. I just want actual "Performance" stuff. Weight loss. grill sans M badge = .03 lbs weight loss. Wish I had looked into manual seats -- 2k for 22 lbs lighter per. Annoyed that ti exhaust is 4.5k -- 20 lbs lighter. BBS FI 6k 4 lbs lighter per wheel. $12k to reduce 80 lbs. Really love to get my M3 under 3300 lbs. Aaaagh.
