Best lowering springs for F83 M4

I'm due to take delivery of my SO cab in late Sept and keen to see what springs others would consider for the M4?

Will the early birds just use F33 springs from the M sport 335i cab?

I know that's what was done on the M4 coupe and got a nice drop all round?

I'm thinking hold out for H&R's?

Hypercoil is probably the best, especially their CCBS ones. They cost 5 times more but you can have any height and rate: http://www.hypercoils.com/bellows

I don't think I need to have height adjustment. Happy to just drop it down a little - close up the arch gaps and then keep the standard shocks.

Swift is working on their Spec-R springs. They will be worth the wait.

Was just going to ask you that before even clicking on this thread. That's awesome, their spring for the E9x was top notch, great to know they'll release something for this car too!

When do you expect it will be released? Will they have a M3 and a M4 variant?

We are working very closely with Swift on this project as we have both cars here at the shop. Swift has already measure the spring rates and note the spring profiles. Prototypes will be made and tested so I am going to take a wild guess of about 6 months out.

Yes, there will be both M3 and M4 specific Spec-R springs.

I hope it's not that far out. Swift makes really good springs but am hoping I don't have to wait that long.

@phantome46

If you only want to lower your car with springs just do it. But don't expect any more as a lowered stance... Please also check if you are riding after the install of the springs only on your bumps - would be a pain in your ...

If you want more (adjusting damper forces) buy a set of high quality coilovers.

i am keen to see how the KW adjustable springs are but reviews say they are a lot harder than standard suspension which is not what I desire for a daily driver.

^ I'm sure that has a lot to do with how much you lower the car. I'd bet the ride isn't much firmer if you set the KW's at their highest position which gives a mild drop. Another option will be Dinan

In-house R&D for the Swift springs are finally finished. Road test will begin as soon as springs land in the US.

I will keep everyone posted.
