X4 accessories and performance parts

Does anyone here know when BMWUSA.com will start selling accessories and parts for the X4? Patiently waiting to accessorize my X4.

Sarsi -

I am getting mine wednesday at 12 noon.. I am in NJ...

I ordered it and waited about 5 weeks and it came in tuesday and i got to see it for a few minutes and it should be prepped and wednesday Cant wait.

You loving it ?

I went from a SQ5 to the Macan and now this.. I am more excited about the X4 than the Macan believe it or not..

I am with you on accessories.. I want to customize it a little like for instance the Black Kidney Grills are a must.. What options are you hoping for ?

Theatermax,
I got mine 2 weeks ago. Upgraded from a Lexus RX and man what a difference! Can't wait to see pics of yours. Where in NJ are you from? I am originally from NY, minutes away from Bergen County.

I just want stuff like, mudflaps and rubber floor mats right now, but will want to change the intake and possibly the exhaust. Black kidney grills would look good on my car. Might try to DIY it and paint it black.

I was able to buy the rear cargo mat and winter/ rubber floor mats for front and bsck at our dealership. They didn't have them in the dealership but had them sent over from the warehouse. They didn't have any windshield sunshades and won't until December. They had a catalog they said they coild see what was available. I'd suggest checking with the dealer and see what they have. If they don't have anything you could try Schomp BMW in Denver where we got ours
Would love to change out a couple things.. Hopefully more things available soon!

I am with you on the kidneys , I need them to be black.. Especially on my white car where everything is blacked out..

I am not sure about self repaint but I bet they will have the kidney replacements in a few weeks. They have them for every other car I hope we are next.

Craig / Sarsi,

I just ordered my X4 35i with navigation only (609). I'm now wondering if there's a difference in the layout/style of the instrument cluster between the nav only option and the technology package (ZTP). The pricing guide doesn't address this at all, however, the BMW build site appears to show very subtle differences in the look of each cluster. Do you know if there are specific differences in the two clusters?

Sarsi, Regarding the instrument cluster photo, does your X4 have nav only or is it equiped with the tech package? I would appreciate any additional info you can share on this topic. Thanks!

Eric

Thanks. One more question: Is your console a "black panel" display where everything is blacked out when the ignition switch is off?

The 4 gauges are the only thing physically there. Everything else are digital. I can post a pic if you want.

A pic with the ignition completely off would be helpful. Thanks.

Wow! Do you still use detectors in the US! All of Europe is full of speed/cameras.

I am planning a trip to the US - would my 10 year old BEL 945i radar/laser detector work?

It is more superstition than anything. Had a radar detector for most of my driving life, never got pulled over with one (knock on wood). Your bel should still work. Nothing has really changed in police tech with exception of laser, which they hardly use.

I have Nav option and I have digital display just a smaller one and it makes no sense. There is no documentation anywhere that says if you order nav without hud you get a different cluster. This is a real problem for me as I expected to get what the demo at the dealer had and no one said a word to me that the cluster was going to be different.

Just changed the front turn signals to SilverVisions. Dramatically improved look. Ordered on eBay from the UK. Very quick shipment - 5 days.

More mods and coding planned. Like everyone - waiting for accessories for the X4.

Dark Graphite / Black w grey stitching

This is also true for the F10 and F15. You need the full tech pack or DAP to get the compete LCD cluster
