Many would say no, many would say yes.
LOTS of discussions on this here. My view is it would take a LOT of pads/rotors to equal the $8,000CDN CCB cost. It will never happen for me and for the track, proper fluid and racing pads and you will likely have similar performance. So, for me, not worth it but there are many others who feel exactly the opposite. The one big pro for me is lack of brake dust but that can also be achieved by putting low dust pads on the steel rotors. One con is a higher level of noise in DD... some report squealing and this is common on CCB. I have a friend with two CCB cars (non BMW) and he swears that the brake noise after they get worn in a bit would stop him from buying them again. If I didn't care about the $$, I would likely have bought them for the cool factor alone
