It is 601 in the UK and a DVB-T tuner. See my video for an example of it displaying TV.

Technology is certainly getting better/worse as time goes by. I say worse because that's just one more distraction to the driver.

I have a question about the media center. Does it have a repeat button for a USB track? E9X does not and it always bothered me.

I guess the way this forum works is that nothing is illegal if you don't get caught.

IMO having the TV unlocked is no more distraction as using the Navigation system, I have my TV unlocked on my X6M and what I really do is hear the news more than watching in my way home at night, is just my opinion after all

Looks cool. I wonder if anyone's going to be doing coding and/or retrofitting for this feature in the US.

My guess is TV does not work as there's probably no US tuner (since it's illegal why build one?)

This would be versus DVDs or videos which CAN be played while not in motion thus you can code for in-motion playing.

I guess the question remains as to whether the US cars have the hardware for TV reception (i.e. a ATSC tuner and antenna). In which case it would only be a coding issue as it has been for owners in other countries.

you can still hear the audio of the TV channel while driving (I've optioned TV in mine), but it bothers me as well that the video is turned off while driving. freedom of choice FTW !
