Snow/Ice questions
I like to keep my car paint as new as possible. so i have a couple of quick noob questions about snow and ice.
1-Since snow is actually water, am I correct to assume that it's ok for snow to fall on my car and it wont damage the paint? 2-Same question for ice. After spraying off the dirty crap off the car every 5 days or so, the hot water from the car wash turns to ice on my car when i leave the car wash. It doesn't hurt the paint to have ice bubbles on the paint, right? Underneath all the winter crap, I apply a new coat of carnuba wax every 3-4 weeks on my car. That should be good enough to protect the paint during the winter eh? |

Honestly, don't even worry about it. Especially since you're in Ottawa. Just wait until spring, and then wash, clay, polish, and seal your car. You'll have protection for the length of the summer, and then repeat immediately before winter rolls in, so you'll have an added layer of protection through the winter months. You'll be able to remove any swirling or light scratches accumulated through the winter when you polish the car in the spring. Each detail will take you a day, but well worth it in the end. My .02
