Turbo noise

Sorry if this is a repost.. but I recently got the MPPK for my 435i 6MT and every time I let of the throttle in 1st and 2nd gears I get a high pitched "whoosh" sound from the engine bay.. sort of like the sound from a blow off valve (I know we don't have one). Is this normal? I drove a stock 435i auto a few weeks ago and there was no whoosh sound at all.

Perfectly normal for the MPPK due to the modified air box. I have the MPPK and MPE and I love the extra induction sound!

Great! I love the sound too, but was worried it was a boost leak or something.

That extra air has to go somewhere, you're just hearing re-circulation, perfectly OK!

I get that too and I don't have an MPPK or exhaust

n55 and n54 are both recirculating . Difference is the n55 has a electronic valve that is connected to the turbo.
