Lower Lip Clearance

Lower Lip Clearance
To preface the question...I'm coming from a non-modified, 328 M-Sport xDrive and am located in Western PA where hills are a plenty...

I'm assuming that the M4 will sit a little lower, but I couldn't find any data to compare the front end clearances of of each.

That being said...I love the look of the Carbon Front Splitters with the lower lip, but I haven't seen it in person. The lip can't be more than half an inch...I'm thinking like 3/8 ?? Also, I don't plan on lowering the car...

Anyone have any feedback on whether I'll have issues or not? Any guys in the WPA, or even northeast, that are coming from an e92 with a front lip?

I don't expect it to be a street sweeper, but I don't want to have to strategically pick my driving routes b/c my front lip is going to get chewed up on hills....

You won't have any problems. I had a front lip and my only nemesis was parking curbs.

You'll need to invest in winter tires and I suggest rims for the winter as they tend to get beat up from our fantastic pot hole ridden roads in the winter.

I am dropped on H&R M3/M4 springs and its low in the front. I was thinking about a lip but going to wait until the KW comes out with something.

The M4 sits way lower than an E93 M3.

I haven't seen one in person yet however I believe that it is lower than competition and about 1in lower than the old m3 which was very similar in height to the 335.

Actually ground clearance is something that caused me not to want to want this car anymore. I looked at the M5 and it is about 1in higher than my current E93 M3. I was going to look at the X5M also but it only has about an inch or two ground clearance extra on top of the M5.

I cant run over any debris/stuff in the road in my car and I want to put this out there that you really cant otherwise you will take out your bumper!

Front what I've found online the F80 M3 has 4.7 inches of ground clearance compared to my old 335iS that had 4.9 inches of ground clearance.

I went to look at the F82 M4 they had at the local dealership.
The measurements for the lowest part of the bumper to the ground are

M3: 8"
M4: 7"
F10 M5: 10"

I believe it is about an inch difference.
