I shot a quick message to a friend up in Baltimore to see if he has any recommends... What system are you thinking of going with?

Frankly no clue, v1 seems to be the choice so far but would love to have it integrated with the dash. Thanks for looking out and let me know.

Sure thing. I'm looking at buying a new one myself. Was leaning towards the redline myself for the stealthy bits, but hadn't finished looking around. Another friend of mine in SoMD noted that when he got his v1 for his m5, he was able to get a splicing kit and do the install himself without much trouble. He has a sunroof though, so he has a tap right up top.

If you live in Virginia why would you go with a V1? It's not immune to the Spectre II or Spectre Elite radar detector detectors. To my knowledge the V1 leaks and can be detected. It does not leak as bad as Cobra units but it does leak.
Might as well go with the Redline or Sti Magnum units from Escort/Beltronics. Check out Radar Roy or just Google it. Unless you want to get caught and pay the fine for having the V1. Last edited by robertg; 08-10-2014 at 11:17 AM.. Reason: Typo |

CF roof will not be an issue. you can splice into the interior dome lights or just run wires down the A piller to the fuse box
