Logic 7 amp wont turn off

After many hours of troubleshooting my electrical drain problem I have found out that my logic 7 amp wont turn off and is keeping the car from going into sleep mode. If I un-plug the fuse or the amp directly the car goes to sleep and all is right with the world. But the strange part is the amp in every other aspect works great. My question is since these things are pretty expensive almost $650 used!! Has anyone ever heard of this kind of issue? I have never heard of an amp failing in a way that it always stays on? Any input is appreciated!

I think the power is switched elsewhere.

Any time a door or the trunk is open the car will stay awake.
This keeps the amp powered on as it used for gongs .
Any time you open or unlock a door the car awakens.
The fastest way to get the car to go to sleep is lock it .
There are some details of you this works in the following document.
What do define as asleep and how are you monitoring it.
There should be about a 20ma draw on the battery when the car
goes to sleep . If its awake its about .5 amps.

It's possible.
There is a relay inside most amps connected to the positive lead.
If that relay has failed in the on position, you have a couple of options.
1. Replace the amp.
2. have the amp fixed
3. Add an external relay that is turned on by the accessory power.
I won't go into a lot of detail except that you would have to insert the relay in the mains and run an accessory positive to the "+" side of the relay and ground the other side.

This essentially moves that circuit that is internal to outside the amp and will give you auto turn off. Would cost about $10-15 dollars to do it that way.
