"Ebay" dual BOV's, $30 dollars all in

So after issues with my "aftermarket" diverter valves having constant leaks and their inability to reliably hold greater than 16 pounds of boost I ripped them off the other day... I had a pair of cheap (30 dollars combined) Ebay BOV's laying on my workbench, they're from a twin turbo fox body project that has stalled. I decided to borrow them for the xi... They're made of billet aluminum and brass, with an internal spring. The spec sheet that came with the valves (tons of misspelled words) claimed their operational range to be from 4-25 psi and if an increase in holding psi was needed all you have to do is get a washer and install it above the spring! I guess they don't believe in providing extra springs? I tested both valves with my Mityvac prior to installing them and they both seemed to work just fine. The install took 20 minutes and I plugged the intake diverter inlets with rubber stoppers that fit flush. Took the car for a quick ride and the valves seem to be functioning great! They do not have an obnoxious blow-off sound and hold perfectly up to a already tested 19 psi. I have not felt any compressor surge and they look decent under the hood. Hopefully they hold up for more than a year! Just wanted to share, take care...

I do not seem to get much oil blown into the engine compartment but I clean my engine compartment almost every time I clean my car 😁

These are pretty simple (as most BOV's) are and I'm fairly confident they will last.

I'm interested in finding this out as well. Apart from loud woooosh in 1st and 2nd gear I want to think my stocks are still holding up.

They aren't super loud but you can for sure hear them inside the cabin. They are holding up perfectly and I actually just installed some on a another forum members car last week. I'm not sure what "brand" they are...

I was having boost fluctuations and I tracked it down to my diverter valves. They only way to really tell would be to run a log.

I installed these a few ago. They work fine, but I had to cut the springs as they were too stuff. I'm at 6500 feet altitude though which may contribute to the reason they needed to be cut.
