Sound when accelerating
Hello all!
Not sure if anyone can help me here but basically I'm getting a noise after I change gear and start accelerating (I own a 2007 e92 M3). It happens for about 2 seconds and after I change gear and start accelerating. It's really hard to describe the noise, it's not a ticking nor a knocking though. It seems that the noise is more prominent when I change gear and accelerate maybe before necessary. If anyone could give me an idea of what this could be I would very much appreciate it! Thanks, Redmond |

Hello I am new here and I have been searching around for a solution for this issue, I have been hearing some noise when shifting gears (more like a metal to metal noise or a tin-on-tin contact, can't really describe it) but it doesn't happen all the time.
When I asked around, I have been told it could be the LSD however the sound is independent of whether I am going straight or turning, actually it usually happens when I am accelerating from a full-stop (like when exiting a traffic light), it has been driving me crazy. I have recently got a used 08' E92 M3 6MT. |
