Active Driving Assistant?

I'm looking down the options list and see the Driver Assistance Plus package for $700. The Speed Limit Info is self explanatory, but the description for the Active Driving Assistant is a bit vague. Yes, it has Lane Departure Warning, but what are the other features of this option on the 2?

It'd be great if it included collision mitigation and blind spot detection.

It has proximity collision warning but no blindspot warning.

from what I understand:
being able to set active cruise (stay x distance from the car in front)

and also, if you have a stop and go commute, there is a function that will keep a set distance from the car in front of you so you dont constantly need to step on the gas then brake, then gas, etc...

pretty nifty feature for ATL traffic if it works well.

There is driver assist and driver assist plus - not sure which does what, I got them both.

I have Active Driving Assistant in my M235i.

It's on whenever my spouse is in the passenger seat.

Did you ever try that stop and go function? I don't think it's part of the active driving assistant pkg on the 2 series. I have both pkgs but there's essentially only two features as far as I can see, lane departure warning and frontal collision warning.

I haven't used cruise control yet, so can't comment whether there's active cruise feature or not.

no, i pick my car up tomorrow

$950 + $700 for some symbols that tell me to pay attention to the road seems silly. But Id pay that much to make sure everyone else around me had that stuff though....

i just looked it up again and I was wrong, for the 2 series, this is just cameras and alerts and stuff, not stop and go traffic help! I was mistaken for BMW automatic driving assist. d0h

Yeah, I think I'll forego that option then.

Thanks for the replies!
