How did you come to this conclusion?

Did you dyno the car with and without air boxes?

I'm going with Tornado Air with my K&N filter, oily dirty air ftw.

Yes, my stock class engine doesn't make more power with aftermarket filters. This was tested early in the spec, no dyno gain, but much larger particle sizes are allowed in. Higher chance of sucking in dirt and dust on a tracktrack where spins are common. Also the oil on these filters don't play well with some MAF sensors.

They are only helpful if the motor can pump more air.

Lmao the car has been out for like 2 months and your worried about a drop in filter which will do nothing.

Just go ahead and think the aftermarket can do better then the hours BMW put in to R&D so quickly!

The e9x platform taught us that aftermarket filters can add HP. Especially with the filters on the early model cars (08-09?) that came with the charcoal insert.

And to add to that, it's been shown by Terry at BMS that these cars have charcoal filters like the F10 as well.

Great, any noticeable difference in turbo sound? Video perhaps, inside and out?

Sound is a bit throatier on WOT, it's really hard to catch on video.
