Aftermarket Exhausts

I will get my M4 on wednesday and I would like to order an aftermarket exhaust as early as possible. As no one here has already bought some aftermarket exhausts I wonder what you guys will go for? Or if you already heard anything in personal.

I'm thinking of the Akrapovic because it really has a deep sound which I really like. I also saw some videos of BMW Performance but I think their DTM car has changed more then just the exhaust - no cats I guess

I'm going to get the Akra. Their build quality is unreal and I've always gone with their m/c exhausts. Just got a full system for the Mrs's 600RR.

Sadly, I've only heard the stock exhaust in person, the rest have been videos. Akrapovic's promo video made it sound worse. BMW Performance version sounded better, but is speculated to be 8 grand.

I ordered the GT Haus Meisterschaft. In my opinion it's the deepest rawest sounding exhaust. I'll let u know what I think once It comes in.

^ No sound clips yet since it's still in R&D. I'd give it another couple of months.

I ordred the GTC from gt haus supposed to get it mid august . I've been told the sound is same type as 335i but louder. It's almost half the price of an akra which in my opinion is comparable to the stock sound but louder
I had a gt2 on my e92 and it's sounded awesome compared to akra and eiss

GTHAUS should have the first system out with AKRA being a close second. Can't go wrong either way.

Isn't the akra already out? And I think the consensus on it, I may be wrong, is that no one really likes it myself included. The m perf. Blows that out of the water. (At least from what I've heard from clips)

I have heard both exhaust systems in person at full throttle in Germany during the M festival from behind car and got to rev the M exhaust from Drivers Seat. The M performance exhaust is clearly superior. Everybody who was around me agreed. m exhaust hands down sounds mean, deep, and aggressive

I"m not spending more than ~3k for exhaust. It just seems absurd to me even at that price...

I cannot imagine BMW selling their Performance exhaust for an M4 for $ 1'550.-
My dealer is saying that it will be around EUR 3'000.- which is around $4'000

I highly recommend waiting to see what eisenmann has in the works for the new M3/M4.

I wonder how much time is spent on R&D considering the M3/4 just came to the US. Being first in this case is not always the best.

Akra had the M3/4 before the worldwide release so it makes since that they already have a design. I also like the fact that they are taking time on production and releasing one of the best quality systems.
