Recalls

People have been talking about the recalls but I haven't seen one place where they are posted. So it's time to post them all in 1 thread. If you have heard of an official recall please post it here.

Definately read something on this forum in regards to early production cars getting new struts and hose clamps? Not sure if it was an official recall or just speculation though.

I'm pretty sure all BMWs are like this. My 10year old 5series has a hard to close trunk.

I have had my M3 for a month and find it very easy to close the boot (trunk). It also unlocks and springs fully open every time. I have owned 7 M cars and 3 other BMWs in the last 10 years never had any problems with the boot or tailgate (X5 and 330d)

You can reduce the effort required by changing the spring tension? Or are you saying its hard to latch?

Had my 1200 mile service yesterday and there is now a recall for an electrical resistor (IIRC). Dealer didn't have it. Said they could order it and to come back within a month.

So what is this electrical resistor recall about?
What would happen when that fails?
