Indie in Green Bay area
I highly recommend anyone who needs work done, to go to:
Welsing Auto and Truck 2750 Monroe Rd De Pere, WI 54115 920-336-7770 Nathan is very reasonable, knowledgeable, and is experienced with BMWs. I had some work done there this week. Work was done perfectly and on time as promised. It did take awhile, but that isn't his fault, my parts supplier was slow. Their site said the part was in stock but it wasn't, so delivery was delayed 3 business days. He does it all on his own, no other employees. He also didn't mind that I provided all the parts for the job (shipped directly to him). I like to DIY everything I possibly can, but for everything else, he will get ALL of my future business.

This is exactly what I wanted to find. I'm moving to Green Bay in a few weeks and was expecting to search for a long time to find a well recommend indie shop. Now I just need to find a place to walnut blast and someone who codes. Do you know any places in the Green Bay area for those?
Thanks for the heads up. |

Hold on brother! I believe Welsing will do this work. ECS tuning has a program where you can rent a media blaster for $200. I'd be willing to go halves on that, and negotiate with Nathan to see if we'd get a price break for two blasts, or MORE. Maybe could arrange a group buy, if there are enough interested forum members. With more members, we can reduce the rental cost too... anyone interested, either post here or send me a PM.
As for programming, I don't think Nathan will do that, but the rest, he does... |

You did some good research. I would be in on that deal. If that doesn't work out, I saw a guy that does it for 180 in Fond do Lac, but I can't get ahold of him.

I'll check with Nathan on Monday. The guy in Fond du Lac, $180 just labor? I figure if we do the rental of the blaster at $100 each + maybe 2-3hrs labor, we"ll be in the $350-400 range...

He says $180 per car. He has an account on this forum as well, but for some reason I was not able to message him. It is probably because of my noon-ness.
Take a look for yourself. http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27136 |

He joined WIBimmers.com and is advertising over there now. I have spoken with him and with people who know him and so far I have only heard positives. I am taking my 07 335i up to him this coming Saturday and can report back after that. |

I PMed him at WIBimmers too, but he actually responded to my N54Tech PM...
I'm going there next weekend to get my N55 blasted. It will be interesting to see how much buildup there is. N55's aren't supposed to get as much as N54, but I'm leery about something I can't see for myself.
