Service pack
Can anyone advise me on value of the BMW service pack for M4, picking my m4 up in about a week and not sure to go for service pack or not. How much is the break-in (1200 mile) service?

Thanks just sitting on the fence ATM on whether to go for it or not. I usually only keep my car's for 2 yrs and I only do about 5-6k a year miles so it might be my dealer trying to squeeze more £ out of me.

service pack is worth it - it's transferable. in 2 years you would have done 2 services at least.

With the price you'll pay tax free it's worth it. I got it on mine. First service will be around 3-400 quid. Will help resale even if you sell it after 2 years. Service pack is also recognised by dealers in Germany as I know you're over here .

Yea, the dealer kept extending all the of delivery dates for my M4 (collecting it at 5:30pm today) and due to all of that, I mentioned "I better get a bonus out of this deal" so I hope of getting a free service pack! Out of the dealer

...I got mine free with the purchase but they tried to sting me 240.00 for the first service (900ml), I quoted a service pack is what it is and the sales Dept never mentioned when purchased....they wavered it.

...don't think so but try disputing it, did they say it wasn't inclusive ?? mine went in on the evening and I received it back the next day afternoon apparently this is so the engine is cold when administering the new oil.....they do a complimentary wash & valet as well but that is compulsory with all BMW dealers...

Reading this thread, caused me anxiety about the service pack not including the 1200 mile running service! Defeats the object....
Got in touch with my dealer this morning, this is his answer: "Yes the service pack includes your running in service at 1200 miles" Phew! |

The basic service pack is worth the money, included is:
1200 mile run in service 2 oil changes 2 brake fluid changes 36000 mile inspection I may have missed some thing out but if each of these visits averages only £170 then you're winning. I don't know if the premium package (£3400 if I remember correctly) is worth the extra unless you have steel brakes and plan on really hammering them |

Well worth it if you have to pay for it
£1000 for 5 years for a BMW M car , It would cost more for an average family car over 5 years ..... As long as you dont take it to a race track every other month your service pack will cover it |
