Wheel question...
A quick "newbie" question for you guys...
I am changing my 17' OEM wheels to 18" OEM, so the question is: Can I use my existing TPMS or do I have to buy new ones for the new rims? Also, I heard that TPMS need to be programmed for new wheels, do I have to do that at the dealership or any tyre service center can do it? Thank you! |

You can move the TPMS to the new wheels. The programming is done from the iDrive unit in the car, so no need to have the dealer do it for you.
Not sure what version of iDrive you're using, but you just navigate to the "reset TPMS" option, and then drive the car a short distance at a low speed for the sensors to get reset.

^^ Exactly what he said Most wheels will accept your OEM TPMS especially if they are OEM BMW.
