Water pump now or wait? 6 year old E92 with 93k

I know this issue has sort of been beaten to death but I still don't have any sort of concrete answer as to whether I should replace my pump+tStat now or just wait for it to fail. After all, it may last another 15k right?

The car is a 328xi so I'm pretty apprehensive about doing a DIY, meaning labour will be $400...

Any advice would be appreciated.

If you have the money and time, why not? If not, just wait until it fails.

I would recommend to change it, why wait till it breaks down and you get stuck somewhere and what it could cost in towing fees, that's great that it has lasted that long, mine went at about 45k.

I figured since insurance would cover the towing, I may compromise and buy the parts but wait for failure (considering I'm not taking any long trips anytime soon), then just have it towed to an indie. God forbid I'm on my way to something important though

I would check the codes and if nothing shows up regarding pump speed, I would wait (as I do). It was suggested here that those codes will shows a long time in advance.

Mine just went out @ 93k on Sunday. Thankfully I was in a populated area, but still a 4 hour ordeal to get towed home.

Pull your codes, if there are any warnings just handle it now.
