New diesel from Valero

I was looking for cetane levels from fuel producers and found this.

Diamond Green Diesel Begins Production
Diamond Green Diesel, a partnership of Valero subsidiary Diamond Alternative Energy LLC and Darling International Inc., has started production of renewable diesel fuel from recycled animal fat, used cooking oil and distiller’s corn oil, at a new 9,300-barrel- per-day facility next to the Valero St. Charles Refinery. Valero is operating
the plant and marketing the
renewable diesel and co-
products.
The effort marks Valero’s first advanced biofuels production beyond ethanol. It is the first move into the fuels market for Darling, the nation’s leading rendering company. With the facility’s opening, Diamond Green Diesel becomes the largest biomass-based diesel plant in the U.S., capable of annually
converting 1.1 billion pounds of feedstock into more than 136 million gallons of renewable diesel.
Darling is providing a significant amount of the feedstock consumed by the plant, including tallow and used cooking oil. The remainder will be sourced from other
diesel fuel oils (D-975). As a result, the fuel can be shipped through pipelines, unlike traditional biodiesel. Also, the fuel has a higher cetane index than typical ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) and an energy density value equivalent to ULSD.
The renewable diesel fuel is sent by pipeline
“We take a lot of pride that Diamond Green Diesel is a sustainable
biofuel facility that is helping meet America’s growing renewable energy demands.” Gary Steckel, Manager of Operations at Diamond Green Diesel.
companies including Valero Renewables, which will provide distiller’s corn oil. Diamond Green Diesel only uses sustainable feedstocks.
Renewable diesel is a true hydrocarbon that meets ASTM International’s standard for
or vessels to markets throughout the United States, while the feedstocks are shipped to the plant by rail or truck. Naphtha from the production process also is sent to the St. Charles refinery for further processing into transportation fuels.

Garage List
So is this stuff considered to be biodiesel? If so, we couldn't use much for our engines.
