Changed plugs, found oil. Which seal is it?
I went to change my plugs today. I've been getting the infamous misfire feeling at cold starts. Now I'm getting pretty significant missing under heavy footed loads.
Bought plugs as a first step to narrowing the problem (hasn't thrown codes yet). Pulled #2 and #3 (if numbering 1 - 6 starting from front) and found oil on the outside of the plugs and on the threads. I'm guessing this is where I'm having issues. I assume it must be a gasket between the manifold and head. Am I off? Has anyone else dealt with this? I'm trying to fix it on my own so any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

Figured. I've done a VCG job on my old Honda and Ford explorer. Is this as straight forward as the usual VCG job?
found a DIY. Looks like I have some weekend work to do :| Last edited by MacR6; 06-20-2014 at 04:39 PM.. |
