Hello Mr. GhostOne_322,

From my personal point of view, I think you made the right decision. F90 M5's are nice, but to me, the M3cs it's special and they look much more menacing. The big grill/noise on the M3's has grown on me. The exterior looks of your M3cs is on point.

Bottom line, at lease motoring wise, you made both you and the wife happy for many years to come.

Please keep enjoying your new mechanical baby, and be safe.

This is an interesting thread, Sweet M3 CS Ghost it looks so menacing in Black with the yellow DRLs! This is also interesting for me because as time goes on I seem to become more attracted to the M3 CS. Now I am foreseeing that I will have to decide between getting a M5 Comp or a M3 CS (provided I can get a decent deal on a M3 CS).

Thing is, the M3 CS has no cup holders and no arm rest, I can probably get over not having an arm rest but I think there will be moments I will want a cupholder.

Can you tell me what you like about the M3 CS or rather what you think it does better than the M5? Am I silly for potentially cross-shopping a F90 M5 Comp against a G80 M3 CS? At the moment I am leaning more towards the M5 but that may change once I start test driving M3s and M5s this summer.

My only issue with the F90 was that it got boring to drive. And you feel the weight of the car shifting with every lane change. While you give up some creature comforts with the M3CS, it looks meaner and is hands down a better driver's car than the F90 (straight line speed and handling go to the CS). I absolutely love the buckets - I'm 6'1", 195lbs - and can't think of not having buckets in my daily. It feels raw in Sport+. I added ArmaSpeed Intakes and its sounds phenomenal to me - understated but unique.

There are door cup holders and a simple Yeti coffee cup with a sealed top keeps the coffee warm and water cold.

F90 is still an amazing car. But if you want to really drive, its the M3 CS...

So, you do not mind the buckets are a pain to get in and out of during your daily driving?

I’m 6’ even and no issues with the bucket seats and getting in and out. It’s a ever so slightly wonky but it’s second nature now and I don’t even think about it. I would think these seats would be terrible though if you are a wider person or have a bad back.

I also recently traded my M5 comp in for a M3 CS back in December and I agree with GhostOne that the M5 is an absolute beast performance wise but you definitely notice the size and weight of the vehicle.

If you want a more luxurious experience with almost super car straight line performance the M5 is tough to beat but if you are looking for a more engaging driving experience the M3 CS is way more fun to drive than the M5.

Either way you can't go wrong with either vehicle it just depends what's most important to you.

I turned 50 last year and thought getting in and out of the buckets could be an issue. Its not ideal getting in and out however, once in, these are the best seats I've ever sat in!

CS ready for take off and requesting approval for a "fly by"!
