OEM Carbon Fiber Mirror Cap Fitment

Hey does anyone have pictures of how the OEM carbon fiber mirror caps fit? Especially around the pointed part of the mirror like the attached pictures?

I have an OEM set installed that do not look like they sit flush and are separating from the gloss black trim.

I don't have a picture of mine at the moment, but can assure you that doesn't look like it was properly installed. You shouldn't have a gap like that.

You need to push it in more evenly. It's easy to get it slightly out of whack even though it seems like it's fine when you're pushing it in. Pull it off and try again. Take a look at the tabs in there with a flashlight and make 100% sure it's all lined up

What others said is true but since you asked for a picture. If it's not obvious, the mirror is folded close.

There are clips on each side of the mirror and two small torx screws in there. The screws are easy to cross thread (metal to plastic) and if the clips aren't lined up perfectly it will create a gap. I've taken mine off twice now due to a warranty replacement. It's not a difficult job but you need to take your time moving the mirror around and carefully using a small torx driver and clip removal tool and try to not scratch or put too much pressure on the mirror. The screws are behind the mirror.

lots of clips behind that and can easily break, go slow and even in pressure.

Thank you all, I appreciate it! Turns out the right mirror cap was actually defective and wouldn't sit right after numerous attempts to reinstall and reseat it. I'm waiting on replacements and hoping they end up fitting correctly.
