Really curious as to the weight of the stock aluminum hood. Would like to know how much weight could be saved by switching to cs carbon hood. If possible could you weigh it? Thanks

I would really love to get a hood with those vents on it but the only ones like that out there I can find are carbon fiber. I would really like sky scraper gray like the rest of my car with black vents. I’m sure some people would think it looks corny I don’t know. I think it looks bad ass.

Lol…I doubt you saved half that. I’d be surprised if the stock aluminum hood was close to 50lbs. Cs hood is probably around 15lbs. This is why I’d like to get the actual weight of the stock hood to determine how much can be saved but I know it’s nowhere near 50lbs.

I see a few websites that say the stock hood part no 41008071555 is 12kg-> ~26.5lbs. No idea if that’s accurate but that’s what I found.

Sounds about right, lighter then I thought. Assumed it was around 30 or so. Cs hood should be close to half the weight saving 12-15 lbs.
