What tire and wheel packages are you using for snow/winter time?
I plan to drive it in the snow also if I need to, previous BMWs I would switch out to cheap steel wheels and Blizzaks.
Should I consider smaller diameter, maybe 19" - tire rack doesn't have anytime available either |

20 inch, same rims, I have two sets. Pirelli Winter Sottozero 285/35 rear, 275/35 front. Just got new set for rear. Have to get them mounted this month. Were great in snow. And not too back on the dry roads, but you can feel the difference.

I never put my cars away for the winter. My first AWD BMW was a 2006 530xi with a manual transmission. Slapped on Blizzaks and that car took me everywhere. It's been AWD sedans for me ever since.......even in to the M850 and M5 range. I've felt totally confident with the proper rubber on. My 530xi would allow me to stop on my steep hill and chat with the owners of the stuck SUVs. Then I would wish them luck and accelerate into the gloom. Priceless. |

M5 with steel brakes were sold by BMW with 19 wheels except competition models, with 20 and 21 as options. Maybe some aftermarket ones dont fit due to different rim or spoke design but the ones BMW made for the car obviously do.

Flow forms are cheap and lighter than stock wheels so it actually feels good. You may need spacers.
