What exactly are these? Do they lower the comp model?

It is KW HAS like lowering spring.
In fact, I am 99.99% sure that is made by KW and private labeled by BMW to sell it at higher MSRP.

Thanks, but do these actually lower the Competition model? Or are they for the Base model to lower it to Competition specs?

The picture is of height adjustable springs — a threads sleeve that goes over the strut. You can adjust them within their range, just like other HAS kits like KW and Dinan. Yes, they will lower a comp.

They won’t have the range of a proper coilover kit that includes new struts with shortened internals.

They are KW OEM. KW claim that their HAS kit is tuned slightly differently, but cannot publicly disclose spring rates on the M Performance Springs.

Yes. But not as low as KW HAS.
I've installed one in house. I wasn't too impress with it.

Isn't that what I said?
Of course they are not going to disclose it. They've signed NDA with BMW.
But, knowing how lazy and greedy BMW is, I bet you that they are 99.99% the same. Just color and some minor things.

Do these offer 20mm drop on the Comp model too? Or is that just for the Base?

Anyone have pics of their install?

Only reason I'm considering OEM is to residualize lease

When I ordered my car these were not available as a Port-Installed option that can be residualized. This may have changed.

They are about 12 mm lower at the front and 10mm lower at the back vs the comp. I had this suspension, just removed from my car this week. I was really impressed with the ride quality.

I will be listing mine for sale here soon

Thanks! Doesn’t seem like much drop then at 1/2 in front, but maybe that’s all it really needs(?). Do you have any pics to share? Also, sounds like you feel it improved the ride quality? Handling?

Were the adjustable sleeves lowered all the way but yielded only 1/2” front and 3/8” rear drop over stock comp? Or was that simply the way the dealer adjusted them?

Check my older threads, there are plenty of pictures of my car.

Handling got better in my opinion, and the car didn't drive as harsh as original comp suspension
