I have done conversion. Works fantastically in comparison to my regular 18 pre-LCI. Much more compliant better bump absorption and generally softer in comfort mode and I'd even say slightly stiffer in sport plus. I did not do module programming. It is plug and play. Had to be since if you compare m8 competition and LCI M5 part numbers for connectors with pre LCI they are identical. I am very happy with result. Works great on our crappy Illinois roads.

Due to all the reports about the comps having a rough ride, I bought a CPO 2018 base. I drove it with the stock springs for a year and decided it was a little loose. I added Dinan front monoballs, comp motor mounts, and H&R M5 springs and think it rides fine. The stiffer springs had a minimal effect on ride. My car is 100% street driven. I have the Dinan rear toe link kit on order since I think the rear end is a little wiggly.
I'm going on a week with the carbahn monoballs. Been thinking of doing the F90 H&R but after watching someone tear open the entire back seat and deck or the car to get them out I am second guessing the desire. Lol

Next will be the Dinan or carbahn rear suspension goods.

It’s not that bad to do the rear springs. Just read up on the details first.

I read your other thread, great job!
Could you please share the part numbers you have ordered?

Hello.
I am afraid that I don't have those numbers. I have ordered from forum member here. I have checked those numbers with M8 Competition on realoem website. They were the same. If you are able to look them up there you'll get the proper numbers. I have only purchased shocks and springs. Pet numbers for connectors are identical as well as upper mounts. You just transfer those from existing setup.

F90 Competition suspension swap, from pre-LCI to LCI

Hello,

I own a pre-LCI F90C from 2019 and I would like to change the suspension with the more compliant LCI variant.

I found 2 shops in France which are willing to do the job- the mecanical part of the job- but they are not sure/ do not really know if a coding/ programming of the new suspension is necessary.

Can someone who has already done this confirm me that we are talking of a "plug and play" job, with no additionnal programming necessary after installing the new parts ?
