Angry Module Fault, delayed delivery

I was supposed to take delivery tomorrow, but the salesman just informed me that they found a fault in a module and was asking Germany for help.
He did not know which module, but apparently the service tech's can not reset it.
Hope this is not a sign of things to come.
He also advised me that there is definately NO DEALER INSTALLED BLUE TOOTH OPTION in Canada at this time.
What a bummer.

The E90 is very complex and has many control modules

They are shipped in a special shipping mode and the dealer has to reset them to normal mode, sometimes they dont want to do that

They are designed to be easy to replace, and your car should be 100% when you get it

This is not very uncommon on the new complex systems

Had a bunch of problems with fault readings a soon as I drove off the lot. Brought it back after driving it over the weekend and picked it up the next day. 1300 miles later, still smiling. It's a great automobile and I also have no regrets in selling my 97 M3 for my Monaco Blue 330I

It's definetly a complex car and all the best of luck getting it fixed.

But I've had bad luck with problems at time of delivery...On my 745Li, right after I signed the papers, the iDrive screen went blank when the salesguy was showing me the system. Needed a new iDrive display. Since then, the car has been nothing but headaches. I'm stuck with my lease and they agreed to only buy back the car if I leased another BMW to replace it.

That doesn't sound like such a bad deal. Breaking the lease without penalties and going to a new car is a cool thing, isn't it?

I swear, my car gets more software updates than my Windows machine. Maybe it's time for UNIX!

LOL..love that one too. Sir, my I-drive and Instrument panel are blinking like christmas lights. BMW Service Mgr: It's supposed to be that way. It's BMW's way of preventing you from falling asleep while driving at night.

When I did buybacks with Benz, they did a change of collateral. Basically, give me a new 750Li for the duration of my lease with the option to sign a new lease. I know they're trying to keep me in the brand, but with all the problems I've been having with the 7 and now my sister's E90, I'm getting very worried about owning another BMW. I have my name on the new E60 M5 to replace my MB E55 AMG, but seriously, I'm not so sure I want to do that.

I really don't need another big sedan...It one time, I had to shuttle around clients, but at this point, my real estate business has shifted to development.

Hey Bobnaz, what kind of faulty readings are you getting? I've been getting some apparently "false" ABS warnings. It would happen randomly, but mostly at slow speed or at standstill. Not sure what I was doing to the breaks. But everytime I power down and restart, the system rechecks itself and the warning goes away. Is there a particular module that needs to be checked out for this? Happened 4 times so far, car is 1400 miles, 2 weeks old!

Mine started with brake light and quicklyy followed with ABS along with Tire Monitor. I here it's a known issue easily fixed.

I saw my car today at the dealers.
They have to replace the DSC module and it won't come in until Monday.
I took some pictures in the service bay, but is was a real tease driving home without it.
Too bad they didn't check everything out when the car arrived at the dealers last Monday instead of leaving everything until the last minute.
Going to be a long weekend.
