I'm sorry, but what does M550 have to do with M5 and M5 competition? Even if competition only gives cosmetic changes ( i doubt it); the M5 itself should have way better steering than M550.

Trade your M550 in for M5, the weight savings alone (from dropping the 50) will give you instant performance gains
