Dinan Turbo Inlets
Selling my Dinan Turbo Inlets for $325 or best offer. These were pulled off the car as I am going back to stock. Slightly used at about 1,000 miles. A couple of small cosmetic scratches from the install. JB Weld was added to the flange and the valve stem and were smoke tested to ensure no air leaks. Install instructions, original packing, and Dinan shipping box included. Buyer pays for shipping. |

Was this the first or second set Dinan sent you? I saw you post a while back about having issues with the first set. Not looking to buy the bad ones. lol

Hey, good question. These are the first set from Dinan but not be worried. Since removing them, I added JB Weld to this original set to all the joints. They have been smoke tested and are as good as new. I also added JB Weld to the second set that arrived from Dinan.

Would you be giving these away if you were in his shoes? I doubt it. For all the trouble he went through, who cares if he’s in this unique situation and able to recoup some money for all his trouble…

Takes less than 30 minutes to do a neat job, or half that if you slather it on in a mess like the OP. In his sale ad, the OP wrote that he is selling these because he is going back to stock. Then someone called him out and asked if this was the set he had problems with or the second set he got. Only then did the OP admit this was the first set. So is he also selling the second set or did he not return the car to stock? Is this the guy you are defending? |

Use masking tape to limit the area in which you apply JB Weld. Scuff the surface with 150-220 grit to promote adhesion. Use a flat blade or popsicle stuck to work the JB Weld into the joint at the turbo end. When the JB Weld is no longer runny, remove the masking tape and use the popsicle stick to smooth the edges left from pulling the tape.

No. But it’s pretty simple. Put a very bright flashlight in there and look for light coming through. Reinforce the PCV joint/connection area and the CF to metal joint area at the turbo connection end.
